How Long Will The Cheek Filler Procedure Take?

Your appointment can take up to 45 minutes. During this time, you will have a consultation with the practitioner to complete a medical and disclaimer form. The practitioner will talk you through the whole process.

Does Cheek Filler Hurt?

Although everyone's pain threshold is different, people often do not find the procedure too uncomfortable. We aim to make the procedure as painless as possible. We help to reduce the pain by applying numbing cream (Elma Cream 5%) around the area.

Will I Be Swollen After Cheek Filler Treatment?

Swelling maybe present for up to two weeks. However we will provide you information in your appointment how to limit and greatly reduce any swelling.

How Long Does Cheek Filler Last?

Typically Dermal Filler lasts for 8-12 months, depending on the individual's lifestyle.

Can I Get Cheek Filler Under 18?

The minimum age for dermal filler is 18. If you are lucky enough to look under 18, we may request you to provide ID at your appointment.

Does Cheek Filler Look Natural?

Yes, Jaw filler looks very natural.

Can I work After Cheek Filler?

Yes, Jaw Filler should not affect your ability to work.

Pre-Care Advice

What to Avoid or Discontinue Before Treatment

You may need to discontinue blood-thinning medication for 7 days prior to treatment as they may increase your risk of bruising. This includes; aspirin and ibuprofen (if any medication has been prescribed, Always seek medical advice from your doctor before doing this). Also avoid herbal supplements such as garlic, vitamin E, ginko biloba, St. John’s Wort and omega-3 capsules. Avoid using topical products such as Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinols, Retinoids, Glycolic Acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acid etc. for 3 days prior to treatment. Avoid facial laser and Derma Pen treatments for 2 weeks before and after treatment. Do not drink alcohol 24 hours before (and after) the procedure. Please attend your appointment without makeup on the area to be treated. Arnica tablets can be taken to reduce the risk of bruising (start taking 2-3 days before appointment). Eating pineapple a few days before treatment may potentially reduce your risk of bruising as it contains an anti-inflammatory enzyme called bromelain. Ensure you have had something substantial to eat before your appointment to decrease the chances of lightheadedness during your treatment.

Those Who Cannot Have Cheek Filler Treatment.

Those under the age of 18 Active infection near the site of injection (i.e. cold sores) Known allergy/hypersensitivity to dermal filler or to lidocaine Pregnant or breastfeeding Those with abnormal bleeding (e.g. haemophilia, thrombocytopenia)
